35 weeks and 6 days

I am currently at work counting down the days til I deliver Raina and begin maternity leave! Everything has been going really well. There has been a little swelling in my hands, but not too much in my feet. Thank God that this has been a good pregnancy!!! What a new experience this has been... Carrying a child in my tummy is amazing. The classes that we attended at the hospital were very informative. Can't wait to begin breastfeeding. The lactation consultant has made me obsessed with breastfeeding. It seems to be really beneficial to the baby not to mention cost efficient for the parents. I hear that some parents are spending 200-300dollars per month on formula.
Reggie has be absolutely wonderful during the entire pregnancy. He has been very supportive and already shown signs that he will be a great father. During these last couple of months he has had to help me get dressed on many occasions and of course put on my shoes. Also, I have been addicted to crushed ice during the past few months...and he has be so understanding in going to get my ice. So grateful to the Lord for blessing me with a sweet husband that has been so comforting during my pregnancy. My friends and family have all been really great during my pregnancy as well. TheY are always calling to check on Raina and I. I really appreciate the love and support that I have been shown during my pregnancy. I honestly believe it has contributed to me having a great, stress-free pregnancy. Praise the Lord!

How big can it get!

Today I am feeling really good and a bit nervous. Over the weekend I saw a few videos of women actually giving birth to thier babies. OMG, what a sight to see! I have decided that I do not want to see Raina coming out because I have a very weak stomach. I dont think I can bare looking.Actually, I had to cover my face several times during the video that I was watching. Lord, give me strength to endure!
Here is a more updated photo that shows how Raina is expanding her mommys tummy!

33 weeks!

Wow! I am currently 33 weeks pregnant. What a journey and learning experience this has been. I have a whole new respect for pregnant women now that I am experiencing it for myself. I always thought that a woman carrying a baby could still do whatever she did prior to getting pregnant. Well, I have learned that this is untrue. I cannot tie my own shoes. Reggie has to help me with that. I get tired a lot quicker than I normally did. Simply walking around the mall is a challenge. However, being pregnant has definitely been a joy! Raina moves very often in my tummy. I really enjoy seeing her move. I just wonder what it is she is doing in there. Reg and I are counting down til the week when she should arrive. WE CANT WAIT! A real live child will be all ours to take care of! Ok, there are mixed feelings... joyful and nervous. Lord help us to be great parents! We have taken our infant CPR and safety class. It was very interesting and I am glad that we took the class because we learned very valuable information and techniques. Next, is the childbirth class. Cant wait..................PREPARE US PLEASE!
